So you've made the jump to save money with this MVNO. Once you verify Boost Mobile coverage in your area, you now need to activate your Boost Mobile SIM card.

How do I activate my Boost Mobile SIM?
If you've got an eSIM-compatible phone and opted for a Boost Mobile eSIM plan, your eSIM should've been activated on purchase.
However, if you've got a physical SIM card, you can either activate your plan on Boost Mobile's website or via a phone call once the SIM card arrives in the mail.
Activating Boost Mobile SIM online
When you go over to the Boost Mobile website, you'll need a few things to hand to activate your phone and SIM card and follow these steps:
- Enter your Boost SIM card ICCID number (15-digit code on the back of your SIM card)
- Next, you'll need to enter your phone's IMEI number.
- You'll then be able to choose your mobile number and then set up your Boost Mobile account
- Then click to activate your plan

Activating Boost Mobile on an Android phone
If you're bringing your own Android, you'll need to change your APN settings to make sure you get the most out of the services.
- Settings > Connections/Network Connections or Network and Internet
- Select Mobile Networks and make sure Mobile Data is enabled
- Choose Access Point Names (APN) and select "Add."
Find the specific details for the Boost Mobile APN settings.
Then select Save > Make sure the newly created APN is selected > Restart your phone, then disconnect from the internet and check you're set up by making a call or sending a message.
Activating Boost Mobile on an Apple iPhone
- Go to Settings > General
- Choose VPN & Device Management
- Go to Boost Mobile BYOD and select remove
- The carrier must be set to at least Boost Mobile 49.1
If you upgraded and have a new phone, you'll need to make sure the software is up to date and then go to Settings > General > About (then a pop-up will appear) > Verify the carrier is at least Boost Mobile 49.1 and click Update.
