4: Activate your Boost Mobile plan

- When your Boost Mobile SIM kit arrives in the post, you'll need to pop the SIM card into your phone
- Then choose to activate your phone online or via the Boost Mobile website
Activating Boost Mobile plans on an iPhone:
- Go to Settings > General
- Choose VPN & Device Management
- Go to Boost Mobile BYOD and select remove
- The carrier must be set to at least Boost Mobile 49.1
If you've upgraded and have a new phone, you'll need to make sure the software is up to date. Then go to Settings > General > About (then a pop-up will appear) > Verify the carrier is at least Boost Mobile 49.1 and click Update.
Activating Boost Mobile plans on an Android:
If you're bringing your own Android, you'll need to change your APN settings to make sure you get the most of the services
- Settings > Connections/Network Connections or Network and Internet
- Select Mobile Networks and make sure Mobile Data is enabled
- Choose Access Point Names (APN) and select "Add."

Once all the information is added, select Save > Make sure the newly created APN is selected > Restart your phone, then disconnect from the internet and check you're set up by making a phone call or sending a message.
How to set up your eSIM with Boost Mobile:
If you've brought your own iPhone or upgraded and it's an iPhone XS or later, you'll be able to opt for an eSIM plan.
