At a glance
- Value for money: All plans are extremely expensive for a single line, you'll only save if you buy multiple lines.
- Coverage: Good coverage on the Verizon network.
- Customer experience: Most customers have issues with the customer service, with unhelpful reps when trying to sort out service disconnections or refunds.
- Transparency: They clearly state the data limit for high-speed data and mobile hotspot use on their unlimited plans.
- Range of choice: Xfinity Mobile only offer a small range and they're all unlimited plans, so there's not much option for low-data users.

How do Xfinity Mobile plans compare to Verzion?
Verizon vs Xfinity Mobile comparison
Keep your Verizon phone, number & coverage: Save $360 per year
Carrier | Network Coverage | 4G/5G Data | Price | Annual Cost |
---|---|---|---|---|
Verizon | Verizon 4G & 5G | Unlimited | $75/mo | $900/yr |
Xfinity Mobile | Verizon 4G & 5G | Unlimited | $45/mo | $540/yr |
Savings | $30/mo | $360/yr |
How much does Xfinity Mobile cost?
The starting price for plans is $15 per month for 1GB but steeply increases to $65. Your payment will depend on the number of lines required and the data package selected. The cost per line decreases with the purchase of additional lines on unlimited plans only. If you're on the By the Gig plan, you'll share data, and the cost ranges from $15 to $60 per line.
Are Xfinity Mobile plans good value?
It's worth looking into if you already have the provider's internet service. If you don't need a lot of data, you could save compared to a plan directly from Verizon without compromising on coverage. But some other better value phone plans also use the Verizon network for less. So weigh all the options before making the decision.

Customer service
Does Xfinity Mobile have good customer service?
In an ideal world, we'd all have flawless customer service experiences. In the real world, each person's experience differs depending on a variety of factors.
Xfinity Mobile suffers from pretty mediocre ratings on Trustpilot, Consumer Affairs, and the BBB. It's no secret that this company isn't well-known for its customer service.
As far as contacting Xfinity Mobile customer service, there are a couple of options:
- By phone or text message: 1-888-936-4968
- Live chat: Via the website or app
One thing to keep in mind is that the company's internet/TV and mobile divisions are separate. So, in order to get support with mobile issues, you'll need to contact the wireless customer service number above rather than the general Xfinity customer service line.

Xfinity Mobile features
My viewpoint - Is Xfinity Mobile any good?
Short answer: Xfinity Mobile is the wireless arm of Xfinity (Comcast) that uses the reliable Verizon network for prices less than a plan direct from Verizon. However, you must have a postpay Xfinity Internet account to be eligible for cell service. If you're an existing customer, you can instantly switch to save up to 50% on your cell phone expenses for the same coverage. Not every user will find a single carrier that meets all their needs, which is why I've thoroughly evaluated all the choices to help you figure out which one is the best fit.
Is Xfinity Mobile worth it?
I recommend only considering Xfinity Mobile plans if you're looking to streamline your life with a combined internet and cellphone bill. The pricing is competitive and it operates on one of the top networks.
The main advantage of using this carrier is that you gain access to Verizon's 5G and 4G LTE wireless coverage while saving as much as $600 annually. According to J.D. Power, the typical monthly cost for mobile phone service is around $157, adding up to over $1800 per year. The cost of mobile services is on the rise and will likely continue increasing unless consumers fight back against the major wireless companies.
Bringing your own phone not only saves you money but also enables you to change providers without losing your current phone number or device.
Would I use Xfinity Mobile?
Short answer: Xfinity isn't available in my area, even though Verizon has good coverage. If it were an option, I'm reluctant to say I'd try the wireless service. My past experience with cable and internet companies includes slowly increasing prices and confusing terms and conditions. Personally, I find bundling services to allow more room for these tactics. I keep my services separate for this reason. I've also found other MVNOs on the Verizon network that offer better value phone plans.
